| Our 6 hour firework show! |
We had an old fashioned barbaque with the other missionaries on New Years Eve, followed by some really touching stories about experiences in the temple and conversion stories. They do New Years Eve in a big way in the Philippines. They light off fireworks on and off all day but about 8pm it starts getting loud and frequent. By 11pm there are hundreds of areas lighting off what I would call a finale all over the city. We sit a little elevated and could see from our balcony hundreds of them going off constantly for about 4 hours. It was the noisiest thing I have ever heard and quite a sight. It was so smokey you could hardly see.It was really bringing in the New Year with a bang.
It is so fun to see pictures of you on your mission. Thanks for sharing with us. You both look great. Wow, they really do celebrate big on New Year's Eve.
