Corregidor is an island in the entrance of Manila Bay in the Philippines. Because of it's strategic location in the bay, it served as a focal point for the naval defenses of the Capital City Manila. It was home to Filipino and American troops. It was the most bombed island in the world during world war 2.Japan eventually invaded and held 11,000 American and Filipino troops as POW's on the beach.
