Eldons version of getting a drivers lisence!

Monday is our preparation day, but normally we have to spend a large part of it going shopping. We have to go with at least 2 other couples in the church owned vans and so you end up having to wait for everyone to do their own thing and it can take up most of the day. Yesterday I also had to go and get my driver's license. That was a very eye-opening and intimidating experience. You just go down these little alley ways into a side door and there you have to urinate in a bottle with the door open (to make sure you don't cheat) and people are just standing and siting around everywhere. You then have to walk down the street a little further to another whole in the wall where they take your blood pressure and administer an eye test. You then have to walk down the street farther to get to the license processing center. There you get your picture taken and wait a long time for them to print the license. On top of being a very scary location, it was raining really hard. You also have to pay money at each little stop for the service rendered. It was quite the experience! Now that I have my license, I still don't want to drive. It is crazy here. They have lanes, but they mean absolutely nothing. People just cut you off and pull into your lane whenever they want. If their car is 2 inches in front of yours, they have the right-of-way to go where they want. It is pretty intimidating. To add to all the crazy drivers then you have motor bikes all over driving between lanes and passing on the sides, etc. It is a whole different world.
