| We went to a village that was built along side the river by WAWA Dam. It was a real cultural experience. The village probably looked exactly the same thousands of years ago. It was shipping day and produce was being shipped down the river. It was harvested in the mountains then put non bamboo rafts and taken down the river. Once unloaded the products were put into gunny sacks and transported down a steep and rocky path to the village below and to be brought to other markets. Men, women and children carried that packs. |
