Birthday Party

Whenever I post pictures it seems like all we do is sight see or go to  parties. The truth is we rarely go further than the 100 yds. from our apt. to the temple. On the rare occasion we get to get out of Manila it is a big deal to us and we take pictures.One of the full time  Filipino Missionaries had a Birthday party and invited a lot of the ordinance workers and all of the missionary couples to the homes of his family for a party. Bro. Chavez and his son-in-laws own several businesses and a resort. Our party started out at his daughters for breakfast and music played by his grandchildren.We next went to their family owned resort for a beautiful buffet lunch and Karaoke. It was outside and the weather was so beautiful. The temps were perfect and there was a slight breeze. I could have sat there all day. It was about 21/2 hrs away from Manila. The scenery outside the big city is so wonderful.There was even an American looking subdivision. It was on our p-day and what a great way to spend it instead of our usual shopping day. The man in the pink is Bro. Chavez the Birthday Boy.

We stopped at a fresh fruit stand and I bought this whole banana bunch for less than $2.00. I also bought 2 freshly picked pineapples that were super sweet for about 60 cents a piece.
